Donations

The Society for the Care of the Blind has not authorized any individual/organization to collect donations on its behalf. Donors, particularly outside India, are requested not to entertain anyone claiming to be our representative for seeking donations. Donations are received in cash or kind. Proper official receipts are issued by the Society for all donations. Donations are covered for Income Tax exemptions in India under Section 80-G of Income Tax Act. Any donor in India can send his donation by Chque/Draft in the name of ‘Society for the Care of the Blind’ payable at Chandigarh and can deposit it in our Saving Bank A/c. No: 10506615304 with State Bank of India Sector: 7, Chandigarh under intimation to the Society for issuing of receipt. Donors outside India can also donate in foreign/Indian currency through our Account with State Bank of India ibid.

They are however, requested to specify their citizenship status as to whether they are (NRIs – Non Resident Indians) or (PIOs – Persons of Indian Origin holding foreign passports) and are requested to give details of their passports.
